After being ranked as the pre-season number one, the Kentucky Wildcats stumbled a little bit throughout the season, before catching their late season second wind. They narrowly missed defeating Florida in the SEC Tournament Championship game, and made the NCAA Tournament as a number eight seed. They defeated Kansas State, top seeded Wichita State, fourth seeded Louisville, and second seeded Michigan to get to Saturday’s Final Four game with Wisconsin. The Wildcats won a barn-burner against the Wisconsin Badgers as Aaron Harrison took a pass from his twin brother, Andrew, spotted up from NBA range and watched the ball rattle in for the lead with 5.7 seconds left Saturday night to lift the Wildcats to a 74-73 victory in the second Final Four game of the evening, to advance to the National Championship Game against the Connecticut Huskies on Monday night in Dallas.
