About Shayn Roby

I am someone who aims to make our world a better place, by engaging one person at a time. I am learning to be more civil toward people with viewpoints different from my own. Perhaps showing true compassion towards others and achieving mutual understanding is the best way to achieve that goal. I am a public school educator and am devoted to inspiring my students to seek knowledge and to think for themselves. I also seek to be a Christlike for them and everyone else, each and every day.

Hail State Diamond Dawgs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are national champions. It’s the first time that any team that has hailed from Starkville can make that claim. The Diamond Dawgs defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores in dominant fashion in game three of the College World Series in a 9-0 affair. Will Bednar and Landon Sims combined for a one-hit shutout of the Commodores, who just couldn’t seem to anchor down its defensive troubles in games two and three of the championship series after winning game 1 by a score of 8-2.
