Stanford Cardinal Advances to Omaha

The Stanford Cardinal completed a sweep of the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday and are headed to Omaha this weekend for the College World Series.

Vandy Boys Rock Along

Although their offensive output was limited against East Carolina, a little bit of smallball was enough to edge the Vanderbilt Commodores past the Pirates in the first game of a best of three series. Kumar Rocker pitched 7 2/3 innings of shutout baseball, and Nick Maldonado finished the job for the final inning and a third, as they posted a 2-0 win.

Rocky Top Walk Off

Drew Gilbert’s rocket shot put joy in the hearts of the Rocky Top faithful on Friday night, as his mountain blast gave the Tennessee Volunteers a 9-8 walk off victory.

The Volunteers will face Liberty in the winners bracket on Saturday evening as the Flames outlasted Duke 11-6 in the earlier game in Knoxville.

Vandy Boys Anchor Down. National Champions!!

The Vanderbilt Commodores are champions of the college baseball world in 2019, as they captured their second College World Series title under coach Tim Corbin.    They defeated the Michigan Wolverines 8-2 in a stellar performance on Wednesday night.

Kumar Rocker received the Most Outstanding Player award for his outstanding Game 2 performance on the mound, giving the Commodores the opportunity for a Game 3, winner-take-all showdown.
