Tennessee’s all-time record in Super Regionals is 12-3.

Lady Vols to Play David Lipscomb in Regional Final

The Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team is one step from participating in the Super Regionals once again, where they have never lost a series. Setting a Tennessee record for most home runs in a single game, the No. 10 national seed Lady Vols crushed six home runs to defeat Virginia Tech, 12-0 (5), on Saturday afternoon in Game 4 of the Knoxville Regional. All that stands in their way now are the Lady Bisons from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The Lady Vols will face them on Sunday afternoon. If Lipscomb were to win, then the Lady Vols and Lady Bisons would face off one more time to determine which team advances to the Super-Regional round.
