SEC Softball In The NCAA Tournament: Tide In CWS, Lady Vols, Gators, and Cats Still Alive

Tennessee evened the series at 1-1 with a 4-0 over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday afternoon, while the Florida Gators took a 1-0 series lead over Washington, and the Kentucky Lady Wildcats dropped the first game of their three game series to the UCLA Bruins in SEC Softball action in The NCAA Tournament.  The Alabama Lady Tide already clinched a spot in the College World Series, while the Georgia Lady Bulldogs dropped game 2 to Baylor and were eliminated from contention.

Regardless of how the season pans out for the Tennessee Lady Vols, senior Melissa Davin has already established herself as a winner in life, as evidenced by the time she spends with little Averi Ramsey.

Lady Vols to Play David Lipscomb in Regional Final

The Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team is one step from participating in the Super Regionals once again, where they have never lost a series. Setting a Tennessee record for most home runs in a single game, the No. 10 national seed Lady Vols crushed six home runs to defeat Virginia Tech, 12-0 (5), on Saturday afternoon in Game 4 of the Knoxville Regional. All that stands in their way now are the Lady Bisons from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The Lady Vols will face them on Sunday afternoon. If Lipscomb were to win, then the Lady Vols and Lady Bisons would face off one more time to determine which team advances to the Super-Regional round.
