Regardless of what impact the Mean Green makes on a national scale in the future, no one can take away the thrill of victory they experienced at the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
North Texas defeated UNLV in the Heart of Dallas Bowl on Wednesday, 36-14. While everyone on the Mean Green was obviously thrilled, perhaps no one perfected the art of the celebration more than its mascot, captured in this photo by USA TODAY Sports photographer Jerome Miron.
Derek Thompson threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns and the Mean Green dominated the second half of the game to take the bowl victory.
