Shayn Roby’s Take: Mike MacIntyre has been around football almost all of his life. He’s a pedigree. His father was head football coach at Vanderbilt. Mike was a solid player himself in high school as he performed at a very high level at Brentwood Academy for Coach Carlton Flatt. He played college ball for Vandy and Georgia Tech, and has even coached for the Dallas Cowboys. The editor of Shayn Roby College Sports took a trip or two with him to Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camp at Black Mountain, North Carolina back in 1982 and 1983. He was a rather agreeable fellow back then as fellow Houston County Fighting Irish athletes can attest. Mr. MacIntyre has the best of wishes in success from Shayn Roby College Sports as he builds a quality program with integrity that will be successful in Boulder for years to come.
